Christmas 2005 aid transport to the orphanage
It has been a tradition for 15 years that the children and teenagers of the orphanage in Cristuru-Secuiesc get Christmas presents from Bautzen and the surrounding area.
We are encouraged to see that it seems to be no problem to assign more than 400 names and addresses to donors. Many people are willing to share and to give a gift to a Romanian child.

On December 17th two vans started in Bautzen to transport the Christmas presents to Romania. After they had arrived, our four drivers spent three days handing out the gifts to the assisted living groups and family houses. That was a very special and joyful experience. In fact, for most the kids the gifts from Bautzen are the only ones they get in a year.

Once again the Christmas transport was supported by the „Ostsächsische Baugesellschaft (OBAG)“, they gave us one of their cars. Their Managing Director Bernhard Pech has already been sponsoring this event for many years. „Gartenbau Wehle“ supplied another car. For the first time the „IC-Team Bautzen“ company has supported the project and covered a substantial amount of the transportation costs. With their help and in cooperation with the „Evangelischer KinderGarten Bautzen“ we were able to support the playschool for disabled children with gifts and food donations.
We would like to thank all the supporters of our work and we wish you a happy new year. God bless you!
